Brief

This short film gives viewers a first look into the “Mojo” universe, a world in which Black culture has shaped landscape design as a tool for creativity. The main character, a trap music producer, mixes his latest track, just as Jeremy Kamal and Nathan did to create the score for this film. However, instead of using speakers he refines the music with a towering machine that hovers over a system of cisterns which respond to audio frequency input. The sound design and additional instrumentation subtly guides the emotional arc of the film while keeping the primary focus on the main character’s beat-making session.
